SPELLO

Spello situated between Assisi, Foligno on a fertile plain.

In the area is the city which has the largest number of Roman ruins: the walls, the theater, baths and splendid Consular Port, Port urbica and Porta Venus.

Going upwards you reach the church of Santa Maria Maggiore with the splendid Baglioni Chapel painted by Pinturicchio and other frescoes by the same author and Perugino.

Not far are also the church of St. Andrea hosting the table Madonna and Saints by Pinturicchio.
